Participating international and local unions should encourage their trustees to take the four-course Capital Stewardship Certificate Program developed by the National Labor College and the AFL-CIO Center for Working Capital.
The Center for Working Capital and National Labor College should continue to enrich the capital stewardship education program by designing additional courses that respond to the needs of participating affiliates and their funds.
The National Labor College and the Center for Working Capital are encouraged to work with interested participating international and local unions and their funds to develop tailored education programs to meet the specific content and time-related needs of trustees.
The initiative should continue to be taken by the National Labor College and the Center for Working Capital to make Capital Stewardship courses available on line, in addition to in-person, for trustees throughout the United States.
